hello,

you may be interested in how one gets a particular cyclades card
to work.
when I installed the card and "insmod cyclades.o", the driver would
say:

> Cyclom driver $Revision: 1.36.3.9 $$Date: 1996/10/07 19:47:13 $
> Cyclom-Y PCI host card with no Serial-Modules at 0xc8000.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was then unable to access ttyC?

but if you run "cyctest.exe" and modify the Bord Setup with the
option: "set Y > 1 M" (and reset the computer afterwards), then the
driver would say:

> Cyclom driver $Revision: 1.36.3.9 $$Date: 1996/10/07 19:47:13 $
> Cyclom-Y/PCI #1: 0xc8000-0xcbfff, IRQ15, 16 channels starting from port 0.

which means that all ttyC? are now accessible.

I hope this may help someone ...

regards, herbert rosmanith (herp@linz.at)
