Simple explanation really, the Evergreen 586 is an AMD beastie and
is basically a 486 with internal clock multiplier (x3 or x4). Until
last month they called it a 586, but have since 'repositioned' the chip.
It is now designated AMD 486DX5 and is being aimed at the embedded market.

The down side is it wouldn't work in the 471 based motherboard I have.
