Upon upgrading to 2.1, my modules of course broke. Following the suggestions in this newsgroup, I upgraded to libc 5.4.8. That didn't fix my modules (I still get an error on insmod) and now it broke my ability to compile. So I got 5.4.9 today, and modules are still broken, and I still can't compile. When I try to make my new kernel (2.1.5) I get this error when attempting to configure my sound card:
/usr/lib/libc.so: undefined reference to `__p_pr' /usr/lib/libc.so: undefined reference to `__p_fgname' /usr/lib/libc.so: undefined reference to `putshort'
I installed libc-5.4.9.bin.tar.gz from sunsite. Can anyone tell me what I'm possibly doing wrong?
