I don't know much about Kernel Hacking, so I'll let you guys figure this one out...
I run PGP (2.6.x), it gives an oops, I run 'pgp -h', it gives another oops... so, here it is...
random:~# file ./pgp > oops random:~# cat oops ./pgp: Linux/i386 demand-paged executable (ZMAGIC) random:~# ./pgp general protection: 0000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<008275f6>] EFLAGS: 00010246 eax: 003bdf84 ebx: f000ea97 ecx: 00000000 edx: f000ea97 esi: 00000018 edi: 00000000 ebp: 00000001 esp: 003bdf64 ds: 0018 es: 0018 fs: 0018 gs: 002b ss: 0018 Process pgp (pid: 855, process nr: 22, stackpage=003bd000) Stack: f000ea97 00000000 003bdf84 00000020 00830d10 fffffff8 00000003 00000001 00000003 00371018 08052e48 bffffd56 00000001 0003d000 0012ae21 000290fa 0012ae6e 00000003 00371018 08052e48 bffffd56 0010a6a2 000290fa 08052e48 Call Trace: [<00830d10>] [<0012ae21>] [<0012ae6e>] [<0010a6a2>] Code: 8b 42 04 ff d0 89 c1 83 c4 10 be 2b 00 00 00 66 8e e6 83 f9 Segmentation fault random:~# cat /dev/vcs3 > oops ; file ./pgp >> oops
./pgp: Linux/i386 demand-paged executable (ZMAGIC) random:~#
I then rebooted, and tried again, and it still happened...
I'm running 2.0.14, on an intel 486sx/25... If you want my cp of PGP I'll give it to you...
