Initial idea was to include proximity function together with ALS and
hence the complexity.

Yes, timestamp is not required considering only ALS data. I have removed
it now. Will send the cleaned up patch in v3.

Device parameters are proportional, so lock it introduced to protect
across scaling factor, integration time, so that raw read and INT read
process it with correct/new integration time and scaling factor.

But there isn't any need to protect the data read from the register. I
will remove this lock here.
