this returns -EINVAL.

But I'm trying now with:

echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled

what is memhog? I couldn't find the utility in Google...

I did try with the above settings and just push a bunch of data into
ramfs and tmpfs and indeed the sytem died very quickly (on v4.0-rc4).
