Not really. 30 already has the 2 bit set:
30 = 0b11110 = 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 0
28 = 0b11100 = 16 + 8 + 4 + 0 + 0

Feel free to run this in a terminal to check: :-)
perl -e 'print( (30^2) ."\n" );'
