SubjectPROBLEM: lots of frame errors with madwifi + PCI1225 CardBridge
DateMon, 14 Nov 2005 00:06:12 -0500
Using a madwifi card on my Dell CP/x laptop gives lots of frame errors,
sample ifconfig output:

ath0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:02:6F:20:40:B0
          inet addr:192.168.0.2  Bcast:192.168.0.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::202:6fff:fe20:40b0/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
          RX packets:2290848 errors:399943 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:399943
          TX packets:2815939 errors:39 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:199
          RX bytes:2301147152 (2.1 GiB)  TX bytes:2026627717 (1.8 GiB)
          Interrupt:11 Memory:d0979000-d0989000

Possible similar problem with madwifi and an O2Micro bridge is solved here
with patch (disabling read prefetch / write burst in CardBridge):

Attachments with system info, any help would be appreciated.
