Your CPU doesn't need to support an NX flag. See
http://en.wikipedia.net/wiki/PaX for two ways to mimic the same
functionality. I'm not sure if any noexec patches other than PaX can do
this though; the thing IS about 3 years old.

Anyway, it was just a longshot. I've got nothing else to offer on the
subject of java dying because of in-kernel issues.
