    Yes. In principle, user space must be able to handle the case
    where no fds 0,1,2 are available. For example in mount.c:

    while((fd = open("/dev/null", O_RDWR)) == 0 || fd == 1) ;
    if (fd > 2)
    close(fd);

    or so.
