SubjectRE: non-SMP kernels fail to compile
Date
Hi,

I seem to recall this problem from a long time ago.
As I remember, doing a make mrproper before starting the Non-SMTP build
solved the problem for me.
Remember to save your .config file outside of the Kernel tree as make
mrproper will delete it.

I've compiled a number of up kernel for 2.4.23 with no issue. What
sort of compile errors are you getting? Can we get you config file.

There is no such thing as obsolete hardware.
Merely hardware that other people don't want.
