I once saw an ATM with a Windows NT "blue screen" error message :-)
FWIW, I wouldn't have responded to Raphael's post in the way I did, if he said something along the lines of "I'm using Linux in a TV set-top box|ATM|kiosk application, and I want to hide the standard boot-up output with a nice graphic".
