    gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/data2/usr/local/src/linux-2.4-pre-ac/include -Wall
    -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer
    -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2
    -march=i686 -malign-functions=4 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include
    /data2/usr/local/src/linux-2.4-pre-ac/include/linux/modversions.h -I.
    -DKBUILD_BASENAME=8253xutl -c -o 8253xutl.o 8253xutl.c
    8253xutl.c: In function `sab8253x_wait_until_sent':
8253xutl.c:1347: structure has no member named `counter'
    make[4]: *** [8253xutl.o] Error 1
    make[4]: Leaving directory
    `/data2/usr/local/src/linux-2.4-pre-ac/drivers/net/wan/8253x'

I simply deleted the offending line since I do not use this module, and
it looks like the right thing too (monkey sees monkey does).
