Hi there,
[1.] with 'CONFIG_SMP' not set kernel will not compile,
[2.] current system is debian duron (k7) 1200mhz, kernel will not compile with SMP option set off, make dep works then actual compile fails with following:-
(apologies if this has been up before)
one note, the kernel running is the same one but with SMP enabled,
