But for arguments sake, removed that option and tried it again. And let's go really crazy and just use the:
append= console=tty0 initrd=initrd.gz root=/dev/ram0
and try it again. Hmm.. nope, those weren't the reasons. Attaching my .config to make sure you are happy with my options selected, and that I am not doing anything idiotic.
Next place to look? > > load_ramdisk=1 means the kernel should try to load a ramdisk from a floppy > after boot. This will trash your initrd. > > -hpa
