SubjectPCMCIA broken in 2.4.0-test5-pre3
Date
Hi,

Inserting a PCMCIA card under linux-2.4.0-test5-pre3 results in a solid
hang. I've tried it with a Xircom ethernet+modem card and an IBM
microdrive, and both cards succesfully lock the complete system in such a
way that only a hard reset helps. I had to enable CONFIG_I82365 by hand to
enable i82365 support (for some reason this is commented out in
drivers/pcmcia/Config.in).

More infomation:

ASUS P6300 notebook, Mobile Pentium II 266MHz, 80MB RAM, 6GB disk.
The system runs SuSE Linux 6.4 with all upgrades applied.

Output from ver_linux script (on a linux-2.4.0-test4 system):
