BTW: I also wrote a message about every module failing to load. Including things like blowfish that come from kernel-int. (At the time I just knew about parport.) After I turned off modversions, it seemed to work. I don't quite know why kernel-int might break modversions, (I've always used them), but here's just another data point for you.
