Dear Stephen,
The best way I've found to answer questions like these is a recursive grep. I looks like there's some information in the Documentation.
drf5n@mug:/usr/src/linux$ grep -r ip_dynaddr * Documentation/networking/00-INDEX:ip_dynaddr.txt Documentation/networking/ip_dynaddr.txt: # echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr Documentation/networking/ip_dynaddr.txt: # echo 2 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr Documentation/networking/ip_dynaddr.txt: # echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr grep: Documentation/kernel-docs.txt: Permission denied grep: Documentation/proc.txt: Permission denied System.map:c01c4a00 D sysctl_ip_dynaddr drivers/isdn/isdn_ppp.c: * Removed dead ISDN_SYNCPPP_READDRESS code (obsoleted by sysctl_ip_dynaddr net/ipv4/ip_output.c:int sysctl_ip_dynaddr = 0; net/ipv4/sysctl_net_ipv4.c:extern int sysctl_ip_dynaddr; net/ipv4/sysctl_net_ipv4.c: {NET_IPV4_DYNADDR, "ip_dynaddr", net/ipv4/sysctl_net_ipv4.c: &sysctl_ip_dynaddr, sizeof(int), 0644, NULL, &proc_dointvec}, net/ipv4/ip_masq.c:extern int sysctl_ip_dynaddr; net/ipv4/ip_masq.c: if ( sysctl_ip_dynaddr && ms->flags & IP_MASQ_F_NO_REPLY && maddr != ms-> r) { net/ipv4/ip_masq.c: if (sysctl_ip_dynaddr > 1) { net/ipv4/ip_masq.c: if ( sysctl_ip_dynaddr && ms->flags & IP_MASQ_F_NO_REPLY && maddr != ms-> r) { net/ipv4/ip_masq.c: if (sysctl_ip_dynaddr > 1) { net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c: * Juan Jose Ciarlante: ip_dynaddr bits net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:extern int sysctl_ip_dynaddr; net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c: int want_rewrite = sysctl_ip_dynaddr && sk->state == TCP_SYN_SENT; net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c: if (sysctl_ip_dynaddr > 1) { Binary file net/ipv4/ip_output.o matches Binary file net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.o matches Binary file net/ipv4/sysctl_net_ipv4.o matches Binary file net/ipv4/ipv4.o matches Binary file net/network.a matches Binary file vmlinux matches
