I had my 266 MHz PIIs over-clocked to 333 MHz. The system was unstable, so I clocked it back to 300 MHz without problems. Is your system over-clocked? If it is, try going back down to the proper CPU speed and see if that helps.

You haven't by any chance overclocked your CPU:s?
