Subjecthda lost interupts in 2.3.41
I was having a problem with losing interupts on hda also ,since then I
have not had any problems ,I think what I may have done to correct this
was to in the bios set the drives to lba ,pio4 ,disable ACPI and make sure
you force a update of ecs (i think it's called ecs or ecsv) I could never
get UDMA support in the intel PIIX4 with out forcing a update. In the
kernel I disabled ACPI support ,enabled good-bad firmware kept all the
UDMA settings including tunning of the PIIX4 and that was pretty much it
all works well so far.
