I get the same:
Jan 29 17:17:06 work kernel: autofs: kernel does not match daemon version
using autofs 3.1.4
I have tryed autofs in the kernel and as modules hand loading them. (works fine in 2.3.40)
Do you need to upgrade the software even to use autofs v3 ?
