Oh dear one of those. I guess he's still grumpy that V7 no longer exists 8)

The high bandwidth suggests that the attack is the icmp bug one and being done
by someone clueless - try the students therefore. If so then it shouldnt be
a problem unless you are well behind on the Red Hat updates/errata - the
2.2.5-22 kernel rpm fixed this.
