Oh yes, its not entirely obvious that the device number is in hex. Messages like this:
end_request: I/O error, dev 16:01 (hdc), sector 1749579
However,
% ls -al /dev/hdc1 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 22, 1 May 5 1998 /dev/hdc1
Wouldnt dev be better reported in base10?
