SubjectGeneral Protection Fault in forget_segments
From
Date

Hi,
I am using standard kernel 2.2.10. Debian potato (2.2). At the moment
of the crash/general protection fault there was working several persons against
the machine (AMD K6-2 350), playing MP3 files and running local X (More
information on demand).

I get general protection faults and at the end the machine crash (the machine answer ping but nothing else). A example syslog entry is:

I have a lot of them. The call trace changes depending of the proccess.
(I have more requests on demand).

Previously I have intermitent faults from the NFS server (in other machine):

Aug 12 15:40:22 krilin kernel: nfs: server guarda not responding, still trying

Aug 12 17:42:06 krilin kernel: do_wp_page: bogus page at address 08b174f0 (31713000)

The machine only hangs that time, the load is the usual, the only diference
is the playing of MP3, not normal. The machine normaly is very solid.

TIA, Juan.
