That was me. What can go wrong? Just the ordering of the cards?

But then you can't use __initcall for many things anyway - eg. parport lowlevel drivers won't be able to use __initcall too. Methinks in that case __initcall doesn't quite do what it was designed for...
Ok, will revert this in the next changeset.
