Well, maybe you cannot create raid dev's, I cannot verify that, but I'm
happily running my raid0 and linear append dev's w/o any issue with
kernels 2.2.9 and 2.2.10, created under 2.2.9 using _mdtools-0.<whatnot,
most likely 42>_.
