Yes I just developed that. You'll continue to use readprofile and /proc/profile but what you'll get is the real profiling numbers via mcount.
Grab the IKD patch:

There's the 2.2.x versions only since I had not need of it into 2.3.x (yet :). Anyway the porting should be trivial playing a bit with rejects.
