SubjectChecksum on Alpha
DateWed, 2 Jun 1999 02:18:22 -0400
Can somebody kindly explain me why the implementation of
csum_partial_copy_from_user()
in linux/arch/alpha/lib/csum_partial_copy.c returns a 16-bit
checksum whereas its x86
counterpart in linux/linux/arch/i386/lib/checksum.S returns
32-bit checksum?

Thanks for all your help,

Bharadwaj
