Yes, I've got that, I just forgot to diff that directory.

I haven't had any problems with it. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the above code. I'll write some tests and see how it stands up.
I sent it to Linus not so much to get him to apply it but in the hope he'd look at it, since he wrote the original memcpy().
