I have a similar problem. Compiled with kernel nfs, knfsd code installed, running the rpc.knfsd refuses to load with the message "nfssvc unavailable". (Not certain on the exact message as I have not had time to deal with it in a couple of weeks.)

Could be that the userland nfs is still loaded...
