Hello Kernel Developers,
Searching in this list i found some people have this same problem, but i not found a any solution, What i miss??? There is a some machine relation...
function: FTP Server , ftp.opensystem.org.br , proftpd 1.2.0-pre3 Kernel: 2.0.36 , tryed 2.2.[2-6] Glibc: 2.0.6 Binutils: 2.9.1.0.24 Compiler: gcc 2.7.2.3 and egcs 1.1.2 modutils: 2.0 (for 2.0.36) and 2.1.121 (for 2.2.x)
On linux kernel 2.2.2 or 2.2.6[{ac1,arc2}] i got: (the kernel 2.0.37-pre8 work fine)
ps.: on kernel 2.2.1 this not happen... or probably a cant reproduce with same testes.... i dont kown what happens(diff) after that version...
all kernels are compiled with egcs and gcc, and the same error happens with all. but i see a some thing: i have two machines k6-2: (absolutely same instalations, i change HD and the same machine crash) first with 300Mhz and VIA Technologies VT 82C597 and othes chips. (crashs) second with 333MHz same hardware but Silicon Integrated Systems chips.(works fine in heavy situations with same kernel+instalation) Its a kernel<->VIAchip bugs???
My machine are not overcloacked, and probably not buggy, i did a lot of hard tests with 2.0.36 and 2.2.1 and nothing(i think) happens...
Who can i debug it more accurately??? i'd like to help....
I'd like to upgrade my FTP Server with this new kernel... Thanks for attention!!!
