Hi *
I did some experiments with cdrecord last few days, for example how to eject a CDROM ...
ok, let´s do that # cdrecord dev=0,2,0 -eject
*click**screeek**click* CD is ejected from my cdrom now :-)
Ok, try to eject a mounted(!!) cd-rom. This should make some headace to the kernel, this is the reason why cdroms (eject-button) are locked while mounted, right?
rhb1:~ # mount /dev/sda5 on / type ext2 (rw) [snip] /dev/sda9 on /brenner/image1 type ext2 (rw)
rhb1:~ # mount /cdrom
rhb1:~ # mount
/dev/sda5 on / type ext2 (rw) [snip] /dev/scd0 on /cdrom type iso9660 (ro,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
rhb1:~ # cdrecord dev=0,2,0 -eject
Cdrecord release 1.6.1 Copyright (C) 1995-1998 Jörg Schilling scsidev: '0,2,0' scsibus: 0 target: 2 lun: 0 Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 2 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : TERMIOP SYNC Vendor_info : 'PIONEER ' Identifikation : 'CD-ROM DR-U06S ' Revision : '1.04' Device seems to be: Generic mmc CD-ROM. Using generic SCSI-3/mmc CD driver (mmc_cd). Driver flags : SWABAUDIO
[the cd comes out]
rhb1:~ # mount
/dev/sda5 on / type ext2 (rw) [snip] /dev/scd0 on /cdrom type iso9660 (ro,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
rhb1:~ #
What should be fixed, "cdrecord" or something in the kernel?
