Subjectunaccessible files (SMP) with 2.3.35pre6
From
Date

[1.] One line summary of the problem:
unaccessible files (SMP) with 2.3.35pre6

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
In an attempt to compile Mozilla, after running ./configure several
files were left in a state, where they could not be accessed nor
removed.

When trying to do an ls, I just get the message
'ls: filename: Input/output error' for every file.

This happens on an ext2 filesystem.

kernel, filesystem, ext2

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):

The system is running on an Abit BP6 motherboard and is not
overclocked. I've had no problems with it on 2.2.x kernels.

If there is anything I could do to examine this further please
say so.
