Hello,
lately one of our ancient pc's running 2.0.34 had these kind of messages
hda: dma_intr:status=0x71 { DriveReady DeviseFault SeekComplete Error}
hda: dma_intr:error=0x10 { SectorIdNotFound } LBA Sector=3309840 Sector=1671210
this is the hdparm output
/dev/hda:
Model=FUJITSU MPD3043AT, FwRev=DD-03-44, SerialNo=05043578 Config={ HardSect NotMFM HdSw>15uSec Fixed DTR>10Mbs } RawCHS=8940/15/63, TrkSize=0, SectSize=0, ECCbytes=4 BuffType=0(?), BuffSize=512kB, MaxMultSect=16, MultSect=off DblWordIO=no, maxPIO=2(fast), DMA=yes, maxDMA=0(slow) CurCHS=8940/15/63, CurSects=8448300, LBA=yes, LBAsects=8448300 tDMA={min:120,rec:120}, DMA modes: mword0 mword1 mword2 IORDY=yes, tPIO={min:120,w/IORDY:120}, PIO modes: mode3 mode4
does this mean that the HD is developing unusable sectors or there are configuration errors? can somebody enlighten me on this one?
TIA
-Mark
