I have an Athlon 650 on an FIC motherboard. My machine is stable when the mouse is in the adapeter on the serial port, but plugging it into the PS/2 port and switching /dev/mouse to psaux gives the following kernel message when starting X. I'm running the stock redhat 6.1 kernel, 2.2.12-20.
