Subjectinvalid address for sound DMA-buffer

Hi,

with kernel 2.3.23-4 the sound driver (sb for ESS1868) keeps
saying:

every time I try to play a mp3.

and I did watch -n 0 free and saw the memory usage increase rapidly
(watch -n 0 free was the only command on an idle system)
