Hi everyone. Been trying to get my 3Com USR 56K Voice Faxmodem Pro to work USB on my Asus P5A (Aladdin V chipset) system. Still haven't gotten (there's your American word Alan ;) it to work, but keep getting bitten by a kernel oops. I'm including the output of ksymoops for your enjoyment ;) Any ideas?
Thanks, and let me know if I need to give any more info! Bruce
ksymoops 0.7c on i586 2.3.18ac10. Options used -V (default) -k /proc/ksyms (default) -l /proc/modules (default) -o /lib/modules/2.3.18ac10/ (default) -m /boot/System.map (specified)
Warning (compare_ksyms_lsmod): module awe_wave is in lsmod but not in ksyms, probably no symbols exported Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0002 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<c0111aba>] Using defaults from ksymoops -t elf32-i386 -a i386 EFLAGS: 00010086 eax: 00000018 ebx: c0269e2c ecx: c025334c edx: c75ce000 esi: 000033e6 edi: c0268000 ebp: c0269e18 esp: c0269de4 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process swapper (pid: 0, stackpage=c0269000) Stack: 000033e6 c0269e88 0000000a c0268000 00000000 00000000 c02bfa80 00000005 00000217 00000005 00000000 c0268000 c0269e2c c0269e40 c011163e c0269e2c c0269e80 00000086 00000000 c025319c 000033e6 c0268000 c0111290 c0269e80 Call Trace: [<c011163e>] [<c0111290>] [<c80644ca>] [<c806b000>] [<c806b028>] [<c806b000>] [<c8069320>] [<c8069320>] [<c8064596>] [<c806b000>] [<c80679a0>] [<c8064644>] [<c806b000>] [<c80646f9>] [<c806514f>] [<c806b000>] [<c80620a0>] [<c806577b>] [<c805aa30>] [<c80612c5>] [<c806640b>] [<c8062020>] [<c806b00c>] [<c80664ed>] [<c806b000>] [<c806b014>] [<c806b010>] [<c010b38f>] [<c010b51b>] [<c1016000>] [<c010a6cc>] [<c0106000>] [<c0108ad4>] [<c0106000>] [<c0100176>] Code: c7 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 8d 65 c8 5b 5e 5f 89 ec 5d c3
