perhaps he was trying it on a 2.2 or earlier 2.3 kernel. yes there were
problems, i don't recall of the top of my head, but upgrading to the most
recent 2.3 and for me everything worked correctly save that posting (which
nobody has replied to yet :P) about arps going silly with requests for IPs
not on that interface.
