In recent kernels (up to 2.2.0-pre4-ac3) I was rather concerned about the
amount of swap and cache in use as reported by xosview, while doing things
like kernel compiles and browsing with Netscape communicator 4.5 (huge
hog, I know but...)

This patch makes things *look* more realistic and A LOT more responsive on
this little laptop with 24MB RAM (32MB swap)... I'll keep trying.

Very unscientific, I know, but I must read the source more.
