SubjectSCSI problems with recent kernel (pre7/aic7xxx)

As I got no answer yet, I post it here. I have seen someone complaining
on the list with the exact same problem I have. My second SCSI disk
in unusable....

I use 2.2.0pre7. Below is my SCSI configuration.

First the SCSI config

Additionnal info :
------------------
- The IBM OEM drive is a internal drive connected via the 50 pins slot
- Other scsi are external devices connected via the external 68 pin slot
- I have an IDE CDROM

Then the error messages
----------------------

Current error sd08:12: sense key Aborted Command
Additional sense indicates Scsi parity error
scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:12, sector 2310172
scsi0 channel 0 : resetting for second half of retries.

(scsi0:0:1:0) Synchronous at 10.0 Mbyte/sec, offset 15.
SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 1 lun 0 return code = 18000002
Current error sd08:12: sense key Aborted Command

scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:12, sector 2310174

NB : I have used the adaptec SCSI BIOS to re-format low level the Seagate disk and
also used the check disk utility : they do not report problems. I have set the
termination in the BIOS as follow :

- low byte = Off
- high byte = On,

I have put the termination on the external cable. I do not know for the internal
disk. But anyway this config used to work with older kernels... No copying
vmlinux from the IBM OEM disk to the SEGATE kill the systems each time
(llop of SCSI reset and then lookup)

Any hint/patch welcome.
