That would be a smaller problem than the current one. Somebody just today posted a list with the number of subscribers to this list, broken by domain:

Only excluding France would allow the majority of the developers to work on the official kernel containing crypto. A separate "kernelfr" version could be made available, just like the kerneli version today.
I guess getting rid of the French crypto policy won't happen without suffering some pain anyway... The question is, should the whole World suffer?
