SubjectRe: tar error writing to tape drive

(Comments out of field)

I have found that on a PYTHON DSS 2/4 single and four media devices,
calling to /dev/nst0 will help. The pain with this is that I had to
manage the drive myself. Since I am not a SCSI buf, my hat is off and I
am screaming out of it............

Try it........it did help me by chance.
