I was going to ask the same thing when I saw it in pre-120-1, but since it doesn't do anything unless configured in, and its marked experimental (isn't it?) then I don't think it matters.
It could also be, several patches are/were pending when Linus said `freeze' and he's yet to commit and release all those bits.
