After upgrading to 2.0.35 (and 2.0.36 pre-patch 6) the parallell port is very slow. Ghostscript (Alladin) spent about 10 minutes cpu time for 200k to a Epson Stylus 800 printer. The problem is not with gs though. lpd showed the same symtom with a preformatted file.
I have not tried pre-patch 7.
After changing back to 2.0.34 it worked again.

I have no experience in kernel development - I just think it would be bad if a fix for this would not make into the final 2.0.36 release.
