Subject2.0.35 and 2.0.36-pre7 w/multicast dies
I was experimenting with multicast on a router box with 2.0.35 and the
following networking options:
#
# Networking options
#
CONFIG_FIREWALL=y
CONFIG_NET_ALIAS=y
CONFIG_INET=y
CONFIG_IP_FORWARD=y
CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST=y
CONFIG_SYN_COOKIES=y
CONFIG_IP_FIREWALL=y
CONFIG_IP_FIREWALL_VERBOSE=y
CONFIG_IP_ALIAS=y
CONFIG_IP_NOSR=y
CONFIG_SKB_LARGE=y
#
# Network device support
#
CONFIG_NETDEVICES=y
CONFIG_DUMMY=m
CONFIG_PPP=y
CONFIG_SLIP=y
CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET=y
CONFIG_NET_VENDOR_3COM=y
CONFIG_EL3=y

After a couple of minutes I got some syslog messages:
kernel: net_timer: timer expired - reason 0 is unknown

And after some more time, the kernel started looping with the above
message. The machine was dead.

I've tried with 2.0.36pre7, I got no messages but after some time, the
machine reboots.

Any clues ?

Phil.
