Texas has the same problem. Especially on a 386 (its not that noticable unless you have a lot of objects on a 486).
Another one is lpmud compiled to use its mmap mode.
Also glibc will create a lot of vmas if you do the right pattern of mallocs (as it uses mmap). I can only create this one deliberately however.
