Acutally AMD already support SMP. They fully support the OpenPIC standard for SMP. Just no motherboard manufacture makes a OpenPIC SMP motherboard.... Actually CYrix supprots the same standard. They K7 to be released make spring (maybe?) uses the Slot A (DEC Alpha) intreface and is supposed to support alpha style SMP. So the K7 should have nice SMP, scable up to 32 processors.
