And the cause is usually that init still has a read only mapping to /etc/ld.so.cache, make by ld-linux.so.2. Normally this poses no problem, but if ldconfig is run in the bootup phase that is a deleted file.
The latest GNU libc 2.0.7 version (there are multiple 2.0.7 "releases" !) fixes that.
