If you keep crypto out of the kernel you're giving them arguments that suggest that their laws have an effect. The proper way to fight crypto laws is to show the control freaks that they _cannot_ control crypto. The solution is therefore not to keep crypto out of the kernel, but to have a kernel _with_ crypto. Distributed from outside the US if needed.
