SubjectNetscape Communicator on a NFS mounted directory
When I start communicator residing on a NFS mounted directory,
it reliably hangs when clicking the "New Msg" button. Netscape
tries to do fcntl(x, F_GETLK, ...) on a file residing on the
NFS directory, and this fcntl seems to hang. It is definitely
NFS related, as communicator does not hang when run from a local
ext2 partition. AFAIR the hang started to appear around 2.1.100...

The software:
Netscape Communicator 4.05 glibc2
RH5.1, glibc 2.0.7

NFS Server: Linux 2.0.35 with UNFSD (i.e. no lockd).

A strace of the event can be found on http://ife.ee.ethz.ch/nstrace.gz
